At long last, here's the first installment of my 'How To Draw Dogs' tutorials, featuring the Shiba Inu.

I SERIOUSLY would like to hear some opinions on how to make this better, since I still think things are left out.

I think on others, I'll stop with the final sketch - like, a cleaned up version, and use the other space instead of having a coloured version there, to have a few other poses done with the breakdown shapes there [maybe different colours] and perhaps do a few head-studies of the breed in question. Again, input is welcome!

Of course, I need to throw this out there:
I am by no means a goddess of dog drawing. This is just the way I draw dogs [like.. 90% of the time]. I can't stress the importance of experimenting to find your own style. [Then again, general body part breakdown is kinda the same x3]

Thanks a bunch! Hope this is helpful - expect more breeds in the future!
If you would like to request a breed to be done, don't be afraid to comment with it or send a note :3

If you'd like to favourite just the final picture, please go here: [link] Thanks!

Ahhh general body breakdown. Too bad I can't do that xD I tend to just draw an ear or an eye or a muzzle, then a line, then another line, then it all eventually turns into something xD is why I never do drawing tutorials.

ANYWAY. Shibachan looks amazing at the bottom there all coloured and furry. And smiling! The anatomy looks spot-on as well, although his front paws look a teensy bit offbalance because of how they're turned in. But I really like this, and I think it'll prove useful to people attempting to learn dog anatomy =) There's so many breeds and body types, I hope you do a lot more =D

ooo I always thought you did do breakdown since your anatomy is always so awesome!

Thank you sooo much Swifty!
His paws were giving me sooooo much trouble. Silly things x3 They're my biggest problem with it, but ehh ^^; THanks again!
I do plan on doing more :3 At least one from each of the major groups, and then a few others, like drop ears, paws, etc.

Cardigan is my favorite...but you could probably do both in the same tutorial, and just show the minor differences.
